Kindle Colorsoft 2 year review!
Is the Color Kindle the greatest invention known to man?
Here we will discuss in detail..
Hold-ability
The kindle is soo much easier to hold than a real book (sorry real books)
Especially while eating or doing other things, basically, you can always turn a page with just the click of a button (just tap the screen) and you’re golden
Readability at night
This brings me to my next point: Reading at night
Usually, you’d need a flashlight, lamp or other source of light to read a physical book when it’s dark.
With the Kindle, you don’t!! It has a customizable light source built in, and it actually points light DOWN at the screen
Anyways, it is so nice to not need an external source of light to read.
Some have said in reviews that there is a “Yellow band” or “yellow light” on the bottom of the screen when reading in the dark
You can judge for yourself. I personally don’t really see/notice anything like that, but if I look hard enough, I might think I see something? 🤔 I’m not sure, but it has honestly not affected my reading haha
Insta-bility of books
You could go to the library, browse for the book, check out the book, and drive back home (don’t get me wrong, libraries are great, and I honestly do love going to the library)
Or, you could just use the LIBBY app which has MILLIONS of books INSTANTLY ready for your reading!!!
It is so nice, skip the wait, skip the drive, skip the line, just get to your book ASAP 🙂
Travel-ability / Compactness
This thing is so compact
Basically, here is an example of the kindle (with a cover even) next to a ballpoint pen The Kindle is slimmer, and sooo nice to hold/travel with It fits easily into MY POCKET even if need be, and is super easy to take around With the cover on, it is 0.5” thick, 5.25” wide and 7” long
Battery life
The battery life is INSANE on this thing. I’ve charged it maybe 10 times? For the 2 YEARS I’ve had it From their website:

Color screen
The color is great!
Some people say there is a yellow band.. Honestly there is not one. (I have not noticed in the two years I’ve had it)

Can’t say, never used it for that, but for book covers at least, it is looking pretty GOAT’ed
Get a cover
As you can see, my cover is quite worn now haha, imagine if this were just the face of the Kindle itself
Get a cover! I suggest the Amazon made suede one, it is so soft 🤤
Bed cubby
Check out this bed cubby I made for it haha so nice!! Now, reading is right within my fingertips when I’m in bed
Verdict: The Kindle Colorsoft is the BEST!!!
Seriously, it’s the best.. And not that expensive anymore!
When I bought it in 2025, it was $279 just for the Kindle (cover was $52)
Yes it is a sizeable investment, but if you take reading seriously / do it a lot in your life, this is definintely worth the purchase!!!
